Nowadays there are many people who think being “gurus” of performance management; they try hard to think about what it is really important for having successful performances at work. Answers can be learning, supportive managers and good communication between coworkers… that’s true for sure, I am not going to say the opposite.
But, at the same time they usually forget about something really simple: having comfortable work environment! Nice furnitures , enough space for each individuals, performing laptops, providing information for being office-efficient (conference room’s bookings and availabilities, tools’ training) will surely increase singular productivity thanks to keeping a pleasant working experience.
Why is becoming more and more common working from home? Writing email in pyjamas, having your favorite mug near your left hand and being in the best place for everyone of us it is kind of emotion mix and state of mind’s “luxury” that office should guarantee, but at the moment (many times) it is not present.
